🐾 Jodie’s Story
Once upon a time, not so long ago, I found myself at the Humane Society. As I walked through the rows of animals, a three-legged Pit Bull looked up at me with her big brown eyes—so gentle, so hopeful. In that moment, I knew she was the one. Her name was Billie, and she gave me more love, devotion, and purpose than I ever imagined.
That was the beginning of my journey. I began adopting dogs that had spent many years in kennels—older dogs, special needs dogs—and gave them a loving home on five acres. Over time, we became a family. It was in this environment of care and compassion that I realized my passion: I wanted to be around dogs all the time. That’s when the dream of opening a dog boarding and daycare facility was born.
🐕 Dave’s Story
My love for dogs began when I was just five years old, with my very first dog, Heidi, a Saint Bernard. From there, I grew up with a variety of Mini Schnauzers, and my passion for being around dogs only deepened. This love naturally led me to pursue a career as a professional dog trainer, where I could help dogs and their owners build stronger relationships and a better quality of life together.
✨ How They Met
The path that brought Jodie and I together began with Charlie Brown, Jodie’s Newfoundland. He needed a grooming session, so Jodie took him to a local groomer, Jill. Jill quickly noticed that Charlie was a bit skittish and suggested that Jodie reach out to Dave for training.
After just a few weeks of training, Charlie was not only excited to attend his sessions but also made lots of new friends! The fear that once held him back disappeared, and he became a more confident and well-behaved dog (though his stubborn Newfoundland spirit still shines through).
Seeing the transformation in Charlie inspired Jodie, and that’s when we realized that we could combine our shared love for dogs and our skills to create something special—a place where dogs could thrive and where their owners could trust that they were in the best hands. Together, we turned our dream into reality, and we’ve never looked back.
